Hi Reed,

I picked up the bike and I must say I'm pretty stoked about it.  :D
A buddy of mine went to Bonneville for speed week ( and set a record on his BSA) and he picked up the bike in Salt Lake City  this morning on his way back to Colorado Springs.  I'll have to Drive down from Denver this weekend and pick it up from him.

He said it was in pretty good shape but needed a little cleaning.  The Seller said it ran when put in storage several years ago so I imagine I will have to put some time in going over everything.

I do pretty nice resto work so eventually I will do  complete restoration on it.  I'll let you know how it goes and undoubtedly I'll have some questions about it too.

Thanks,

TW[/color]

Reed,
The BSA was a 1954 A10 Goldenflash running in the stock form.

My NEW 67 350 ROCKS!!!!!!!!!

I spent the afternoon cleaning it and freshening it up.  Obviously it needed new fuel lines and clean plugs and all the fluids changed.  Took me a few hours to take care of all of that.  I could have predicted that fuel shutoff valve would leak.    Thankfully the tank was clean.  The bike only has about 7000 miles on it and appears relatively unmolested with most of the original hardware intact.  It has the typical dust and grime and surface rust on the chrome but overall it is a pretty clean bike and should make a great restoration.

I fired that baby up and rode it around!!!

Observations:
It is TALL  (thankfully so am I)
It starts easy
The kick start will return and hit you in the calf if you are not careful
The shift pattern will take some getting used to

While we are on the subject of clutches....
When I draw my clutch lever in I hear a light rattling on the right side of the engine.
Any ideas?
