Bridgestone 350 GTO
« on: March 20, 2011, 03:25:53 PM »
Does anyone have a part number for the oil line that goes from the oil tank
of a 350 GTO to the oil pump? I can't find a related parts number.

It appears to be a hard line with a 180 degree bend that a normal 350 GTR
oil line would kink, if it was used.

Thank you.

Randy

FYI

Since I didn't hear from anyone. I contact Jim Trader
who told me they are the same for a 350 GTR and a GTO.

I was concerned that on a GTO the oil line is bent at a
180 degree from the oil tank to the oil pump. It looks like
it would kink.

Hi Randy, I know this is an old thread, but I just tried to find the same oil line you were looking for and couldn't, so I was going to start a new thread.... but then I found this one.

I'm curious as to what has happened for you since then. Did you get the GTR oil line and did it work out all right? I was thinking, if I had to go with some generic oil line, I could just use a spring over that section to keep it from kinking.

Thanks in advance for any intell. you can provide.

Moonpup,

I used a fuel line I purchased on the internet. It is a product made to use
with all petroleum products.

The bend I was worried about never caused a problem. The oil flows through
like it is suppose to.

The color of the tubing I bought has a slight yellow tint. But it has been on for several
years and is still soft and pliable.

Out of interest, was this oil line originally black or the same as the other 2 oil lines from the pump i.e. clear, with a yellow tint, as Randy has used?

Thanks Randy, good to know that the line will bend without kinking.

Steve, the lines on my 2 GTO's are black, but I can't say with certainty that they are original pieces.

As I remember the original lines were black.
But I like to see the oil in the line.

The new material used does not get brittle.

Less chance of a problem.

Yes, the line from the tank on mine is black as well, however, it has started to weep a bit as it has lost some of its suppleness. I'll probably replace it with the same.
