New to world of Bridgestones
« on: February 22, 2010, 07:03:51 PM »
This will be my first Bridgestone build. I have been riding, restoring and collecting motorcycles for about 40 years mainly Honda's from the mid 60's to the mid 70's. I picked this 350 GTR up from a friend of mine that bought it new in 68, but I believe by the numbers it may be a late 67 model. The bike has been outside covered by a tarp since he parked it in 78. Pretty much a rust bucket but surprisingly it still turns over with good compression. I stumbled across this site and so far it has been a great help to me doing the preplanning for what's going to be a fun project. Will send some before pics soon.

welcome to the site. Please, pics of the GTR would be nice to see what you have to start with. I'm hoping to get mine out of the garage in a few more weeks and start doing a little cleaning and maybe some fresh pics too!
Okay, I read the forum first and then saw you had pictures already posted. Looks like a little bit of work, but not beyond hope. I've got pictures posted showing how I cleaned out my gas tank - hopefully your's isn't too bad inside. And I also show an aftermarket fuel valve that I've installed. I haven't put gas thru the valve yet, but it looks like it should work fine.

Welcome,

I'm a newbie here as well and as I'm sure you are finding, folks here are very helpful and allows for you to provide some advice/fixes of your own.  Enjoy the rebuild.
