;D Well hell :o today is my B-day 68 going on 15..... maybe i,ll go for a ride on my GTO 8) or have a BEER.... Fosters maybe ::) have a great day mate 8)
-
Hey spackrat I haven't seen fosters for years not that I've been looking for it. I gave up that stuff when they put vb on tap. About twenty plus years ago. Now it's just mild stengh beer. Though I did have a few millers the other day which was not to bad
-
I have agree with Coxy, I wouldn't even use Fosters to extinguish a fire - undrinkable. I drink the only Australian owned beer made by Coopers. All other major breweries in Oz are owned by foreign companies
I prefer Sierra Nevada or Samuel Adams instead of Millers.

So if you like Sierra Nevada, give Anchor Steam or Lagunitas IPA a try. Don't know if you can get these in Australia, but if you can, worth a guzzle. ;D
We can still get Fosters almost everywhere in the US. Probably not the same stuff you get down under, but it doesn't sound like the genuine Fosters is worth finding...lol

Ray when did Carlton sell out
-
Coxy
CUB sold to SABMillers in Sept 2011. They are a South African/British company.
Buy Coopers (family owned in South Australia).

Note No. 18 (my favourite) and No. 97.

That's disappointing. And in only 5years out of date

The names of the craft breweries and the beers make interesting reading. When I'm buying beer, I usually spend a little time reading the bottle labels on the shelf for entertainment. With so many new breweries these days, the breweries have to get creative to come up with unique names. A little like trying to come up with a unique name for a band these days.
I'm lucky, I normally drink Miller Genuine Draft as my regular beer with a case of amber or IPA as a treat, but a local liquor store has been selling a variety of seasonal, flavored, off-brand (still great beers), and occasionally a craft beer for less than MGD. It's usually very near it's sell-by date, but there's usually a good seasonal beer, a variety pack case or other nice selection. I haven't had very much MGD in the last couple of years. It's been cheaper to experiment with other beers.

Miller High Life - The Champagne of Beers.

There is a local bottle shop that imports beers I might try something different this weekend. I don't go out very much anymore but a few weeks back we went to a pub I used to work at its been turned into an upmarket establishment and the price of a schooner is a whopping 5,80 we didn't stay long. I remember kicking up a stink when the price went up to 90cents

;D Yes those were the days..... i can still remember gas at .29 cents.... could put a buck in tank and cruise all nite in my 1957 ford... the last 57 i had i sold for over 15K.... ::) But i was the third owner :'( :'(
