Newbie
« on: January 04, 2012, 01:54:06 PM »
Hello, I'm a grandpa of six from north central Ohio. My youngest son just acquired a Bridgestone minibike from auction. It's pretty rough but, we are going to try to get it running. The clutch is stuck and it has no air cleaner. Can any one tell me if it has a wet or dry clutch and if is a two or four stroke. What kind of oil and how much to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The label on the engine says GB2T. Any ideas on age and what model it is would also help. I will be posting  pictures soon. Thanks

We are going to need a bit more info. Grandpa.  Give serial numbers and pictures and someone here may be able to help you.

The "GB" number suggest it's a 50 Sport or 60 Sport. Check out the the relevant pictures in the Gallery section of this site to see if you can find a match for your bike.

It's a standard disc-valve 2-stroke, a high level exhaust muffler would probably make it a BS60 Sport, whilst the BS50 sport had a low-level exhaust -- unless, of course, someone has swapped exhausts around already!.

Thanks Graham but, I found out that what I have is a Chibi. I assume it is the original engine but, it may have been changed.
