I'm hoping to get my Bridgestone closer to being ready to finally get in a race this weekend at the AHRMA race at BeaveRun near Pittsburgh. After a dissapointing weekend (Bridgestone wise) at Mid-Ohio where my 200cc racer couldn't make more than four laps I'm hoping more of my issues are solved.
In the rush to get things put together in time for Mid-Ohio I ended up using the longer screws that are meant to hold the points to the timing plate to hold the timing plate in place. This caused the plate to bend and completely screw up my timing. Once I had more time at home in my garage this was easy enough to see. I just wish I had found it earlier.
So at this point the points are set, timing is set, and the carbs are perfect. Tonight I'll mount some fresh new tires, actually take offs from my Honda racer, that are newer than the tires I've been using so far. I've only run my bike around the back yard so far but it certainly feels much stronger than it did at Mid-Ohio.
So wish me luck and if you're near Pittsburgh stop by the track and say hello. There will be a full set of AHRMA classes racing this weekend.
