Mike in NC
« on: October 25, 2015, 05:52:02 AM »
Hi everybody! I'm Mike in NC. I've been restoring vintage Honda trail bikes for a while now. From time to time other makes of vintage bikes find me. Well, recently I came across a 175 Dual Twin. Not knowing much about Bridgestones, I figured I'd try to sell her to a Bridgestone guy, or part her out. Kind of hate parting a bike out though. I have mixed emotions on it, similar to being an organ donor. When I was a kid, all of my buddies had brand new Honda CTs and SLs. I couldn't afford the $300 bucks for a CT, so I bought a used Bridgestone for $50.00. I don't know why, but I thought for years up until last week that it was an 80. It must have been a 90 though since it looks like Bridgestone never had an 80. Could have been dirt on the side cover making the 9 look like an 8. Who knows. Anyway, it was faster than the CTs and SLs. That was my first bike, and may be the reason I'll try to give this 175 a new life.

  Hi Mike,
Welcome to the site, please don't part out the 175, plenty of info and help available here to put her back on the road, just ask. Many of us had a BS back in the day and are trying to recapture that time, nothing wrong with that.   :D  ::)
           Good luck, Brian.
Unspoiled by progress.
I'm so glad I grew up in the 60s & 70s. I did so much stupid stuff and there's no record of it.............Anywhere !!
