SEVERE STORMS IN VIRGINIA.
« on: March 24, 2012, 08:58:34 PM »
We had some severe storms in Virginia today golf size hail.
I have never seen anything like it in my life, my Wife and
Kids were at a party, and my Mate David also from the UK
Had some running problems with his Yamaha we had just
Finished put every thing away and then lots of wind and
The golf balls hitting the house with force and to top that
We think a Tornado touch down in the state park and i
Can tell you that's about 2 miles away.
Anyway all is well my wife and kids are all right, and i
Put the kettle on and David and i had a hot cup of tea
Because that's what the British do after a things happen
Like that.
Thanks.
Steve.

Hi Steve
Glad to hear everything is OK after the hail storm - luckily you did not leave any vehicles outside.  We often experience severe hail storms in Oz:

We usually have a shot or a beer after a thing happens. But I'm thinkin about tryin that hot tea just to see what its about. I've been tryin the same thing with sushi at the Chinese restaurants but haven't developed a taste for it or understand why its so popular. Maybe I'm not gettin quality sushi there. So, what kind of tea do you use and how do you prepare it? We've had some bad storms in Alabama this year also. Glad to hear you and the family are well after that.   David

Steve,
Glad you survived the hail with no real damage.
It's a good thing you still had a heat source to boil the water.
My wife has turned towards green tea, also pineapple-coconut, or lemon-ginger, or hybiscus, plus pu-erh varieties.
She saw the last on Dr Oz.
She is a big fan of earl grey as well.

Bikenstein - you have to pay to get quality sushi. I usually do tuna or salmon as the fish meat.

Hey, we got good fried catfish and bar-b-que ribs! I figured somebody would tell me good sushi is found elsewhere. But the stuff I tried has to be similar. I didn't know you were supposed to stick the whole thing in your mouth. And I've tried it in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Virginia, Georgia and Florida. I don't think Texas is known for its fine Japanese cuisine either. At least I'm tryin. Have you guys ever tried chitlins or armadillo?
