Title: roller starters
Post by: coxy on June 16, 2011, 01:07:29 PM
hi all has anyone built there own roller starters they are expensive to buy and seem to be very simple i was thinking about maybe cutting out some steel plate drilling some holes attach some rollers maybe off a conveyor belt and make a direct or chain drive with a car or truck starter . i think a truck would be better even though its 24v a bit more grunt but maybe to bulky

Coxy
I had a Panther once and that was a hard motorcycle to start it would kick back all the time!
And at the time that would help to start the bike ,when it was warm it was easier to start etc.
I had a sidecar with it and i took it off and ran it solo.
Thanks.
Steve.
