old new guy here from Ontario Canada
I have a 65 bridgestone 90 surf rider I believe(non injected)
my dad bought it way back in 69 just before I was born for $20 as a stolen /recovery after it had been tossed in a local river
he promptly repair it and put it to work transporting him to work ,alternating between the BS and his 64 650 thunderbolt BSA (which I also still own)
I grew up on this bike,when really little I would ride in front of him,then on back when I could reach rear pegs,then age 6-7 I learned to drive on it.
when I turned 16 it was my first street scoot and I loved it, freedom at last. I ran it a yr or two then moved up to bigger.
dad died in 90 and shortly after I showed my buddy how to ride with it(breaking something in kick start mechanism in the process) so we push started it and used if for a couple more trips around the yard.
after that it was tossed in the basement where it still resides today .
my 11 yr old son has taken interest in fixing up the little piece of BS with the socket set he got for Christmas
I recently purchased some of what I know is required off flea bay ,but I am looking for a parts source for this thing and heard some other make parts may interchange .
I have a service manual and parts manual already
looking forward to hearing its ring a ding ding again after so many years of silence
