Howdy folks,
I'm a long time Bridgestone fan. A used 1969 100 Sport under the Christmas tree at age 14 in 1970 was a Christmas I'll never forget. Like the Red Ryder BB gun on "A Christmas Story", it defined forever what my best Christmas ever would be. I'm a practicing DDS of 26 years in Cambridge, MD and live 20 miles a way in Easton. I'll alternate rides to work when it's not raining and above 35 degrees between a '71 350 GTR, a '75 CB 750, and an '03 Ninja 500 that my sons had. I try to run them all equally to keep the gas fresh and the pilot jets clear. We also have a '69 90 Sport that gets used around town a lot. Biggest thrill on a Bridgestone? The 350 blowing off a revving Saleen Mustang at a traffic light while my kids were behind as we left a classic car and bike show a few years back. Also the 90 out on the highway in the summertime. It will regularly still get up to 60 which allows an occasional pass of the summertime beach goers on their way to Ocean City. No bike brings as many smiles (or laughter with a pointing finger from some teenager) as the 90. We run it like we stole it - both pegs ground off to a 45 degree angle at Deal's Gap, and on it's third set of tires in less than 6 thousand miles.
Give me a holler if you're in the neighborhood, the Bridgestones are all lined up in the basement and there's a fridge which always seems to have at least one beer left.. A magical place to be sure.
