Bridgestone Tank Badges -repair

I purchased a used pair of Bridgestone tank badges that look pretty decent, no cracks, but the gold paint of the lettering is pulling away from the plastic in a few places on the back. Has anyone figured out the best way to strip the paint without damaging the finish on the plastic under the paint. The smooth surface is required to keep the gloss of the gold and black paint viewed from the front.  These aren't bad, you have to get close to notice, but in case I decide to restore them, I don't want to damage the plastic.

I wonder if brake fluid would work? We use to clean our Lexan RC car bodies with it. Took the spray paint right off, and would leave the plastic un-touched.

Sound like a good idea. Brake fluid definitely will remove a lot of different types of paint. I think I have one or two emblems that are already cracked. I'll try it to see the effect on them before trying on the good ones.  I'll let everyone know.
