Hey every body, my name is Josh.
Walked in to a local pawnshop last week to find a scroll saw, left with a Bridgestone 175DT. They were asking $450, paid $250.
This bike is completely ratty, and needs a total overhaul. I'll be working on cleaning out the gas tank and checking the wiring this weekend as well as oiling it and checking the carbs. Little worried the carbs will be too corroded to salvage (it sat with fuel in it since 1972...) Thankfully I found the service manual online for free.
Hopefully there are some absolute legends here with spare parts because this one is missing a few minor pieces, like a clutch lever and headlight glass...
Glad to have found this group, excited to start working
