Title: Clutch Hub/Clutch Plates Questions
Post by: Kenneth Pagel on March 20, 2020, 03:36:08 PM
Two part question:1. On installing the clutch basket on the splined shaft, I assume the tab of the lock washer (#09047-106) faces inward, and drops into the nearby hole in the basket? Or does the tab face outward, and engage the ring nut (09028-101)? Yep, my bad, as I do not recall order of assembly when I took it apart over a year ago-should have taken more photos!
                           2. This GTR has only 3300 miles on it, and the original friction plates seem to be in good condition. Being that they are so old, should I just go ahead and install the new plates I have on hand?

Thanks in advance!

Ken

Ken

Pin of lock washer goes in hole, then you bend other side of lock washer up over a flat of the nut.

If your clutch plates are good, use them!  The new ones  rattle a bit less but......
