Title: 200 SS and RS, northwest Indiana
Post by: Joesant on November 22, 2018, 01:00:08 PM
Hello, I’m an automotive racing engine builder, involved in classic bikes over 30 years. Started out with Kaw triples, Yamaha twins, moved on to British, European, etc long ago. Fixing up a ‘69 M2 SS for a friend and bought a ‘71 M2 RS for myself. Love the original gold paint, and impressed with the quality and novelty of the brand. Quite undervalued as well, compared to the Bultaco Metralla and bevel Ducatis I’m working on. Bought pieces off ebay, from Richard, and from Richard on ebay. I’ve looked over the boards and pleased with the level of info I’ve found, and hope to contribute as well, though I spend most of my time in the shop and very little online.
I’m sure it’s a common request, but would be interested in a pair of street chambers for the RS if anyone makes/has them. Not so much for hp, but am lacing up alloy rims and building rearsets for better ergos, and typical upgrades, and love the crackly sound of my misspent youth.
Regards,
Joe Santelik

My RS has the exhaust baffles cut off about halfway. It was that way when I bought it.  It has a nice crackle, that might give you what you want.

I had a set for sale a long time ago. The ones I have were on my race bike when I first got it and I don't use them. You wouldn't be able to use the center stand however.
