They have these motorcycle carriers that go on your trailer hitch so you don't even need a trailer for them. Don't know how much they cost but you could probably make something pretty cheap. I use a hitch style luggage rack to haul my cr500 around and it feels like weighs about the same as a BS 175. Lot more compact than a trailer.

Not for towing the bike but towing a trailer behind the bike.

How about taking a small tube frame bike and modifying it. Strip it except for the frame and rear wheel. Cut the top tube and all uneccessary framing out to fit a luggage box where the motor was originally and maybe bend the kneck to 90 degrees. You could cut the triple tree down and weld bolt on bracing to bolt up like a luggage rack for your hitch. Or make a simpler pin and cylinder quick release hitch. Another idea is to just take the rear wheel and swingarm and make the rest of the frame out of tubing. Make a real motorcycle trailer! ;D

Or just use the rear section of a small bike with saddlebags and one of those big touring bike boxes. You would already have a fender, taillight and maybe turn signals ;D

Yes that looks really nice and would be safer than a two wheel trailer. I have one thing about if I should put a break on it like an electrical one that runs off the break switch if that's even possible. Have to wire up a link for the lights in the first place. Be a good project to look into over the winter for me.

Ok so this is a much needed post. Over a week ago I got back my carbs from Reed. They were clean and worked like a dream. Only down side was that the choke cable was shot and the choke springs were also broke. Not reeds fault cause I asked him to get them out. Now I don't know if anyone has trouble finding springs for their carbs like I did but my friend had some spares that fit perfect. They actually are from a classic snowmobile carb rebuild kit. I'll be getting the info for anyone looking for the springs by next week hopefully.

meeting with old Smokey's brother this weekend to pick up some parts. Might just be able to get this out for one ride before the snow starts flying.
