Swingarm Bushings Removal?
« on: May 18, 2011, 11:24:30 PM »
I have a 1966 Hurricane Scrambler that I am disassembling for restoration. I have the rear swingarm out and want to remove the swingarm bushings but cannot budge them? Is there a secret to removing them, or are mine just really stuck after 45 years? It seems like the O.D. of the rubber is stuck to the I.D. of the swingarm. Also, is the metal sleeve in the middle of the rubber bushing suppose to rotate? Mine do not.
I have worked on other older japanese bikes with no problems, but I'm unfamiliar with these bushings? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dave
