Hello all! First time poster, long time lurker.
I've got what I think is a Bridgestone MKII 200cc. Not sure on the year. This bike was given to me by an uncle. He claims he bought it at an auction for 15 bucks! Spent the last week or so cleaning it up (carbs, petcock, gas tank, oil tank) and now I am getting ready to fire it. When I took the carbs off, I had to cut the throttle cables. They were rusted pretty bad. Is there an easy replacement source for these? Would any common motorcycle cable work with these things or is it pretty specific?
Second question. I am using a common drain clearner (clr) to wash out the two tanks. Anything better you would suggest? Is there a certain paint I can buy to coat the inside once I have it clean?
Thanks all!
