News Flash!
Due to an unexpected server upgrade at our host, an emergency forum upgrade was required. This will be ongoing effort until I get everything back to normal. Sorry if this caused any issues.

Pictures posted in a lot of the threads are not showing up..... is this fixable?
-
will have to take a look at it, that should not happen. Which ones have missing images?
-
Here's just one example. (there are many more btw) Some pics are showing up in it, but others aren't.....

I don't see any indication of missing images in that thread.

The very first post by Steve Reed has a missing pic.
Try this thread... (not a single pic shows up on the first page)

I'm not sure why you are not seeing the images, have you tried a different web browser? IS anyone else having the same issues?
I included some screen shots I took from the pages you listed, are these images missing when you view the thread?
Screen #1 is from the first post of the vapor blasting thread.
Screen #2 is from the first page of the other thread.

Thanks admin.
Not sure why my 'puter isn't showing all the pics, guess I'll start an investigation and see if I can find the source of the "block".
If anyone else is having the same problem and happens to find a solution.... please post it here.
Thanks.....pupski

I think its a member group issue, i think things got screwed up in the upgrade. You in a group with 5 others and permissions are very limited in that group.
-
check now, I created a new member group and added you.

Dang, what'd I do to deserve that! :o Got any room in a more free-wheeln' group? ;D
I'll even shack up with slawsonb if it means I get to see more pics! :-*

Nope, that didn't help. When I get to a post that isn't showing the pic, under the "blocked X" symbol, there's the name of the jpeg. When I click it, a message pops up at the bottom of my screen asking if I want to save or open it. So I'm guessing there's some security setting on my computer that has to be changed.
Last week MS update downloaded 6 or 7 security updates overnight, so now I'm thinking one of those has messed with me... go figure.

Sounds like it, I have security issues with Firefox on my work laptop, it won't let me go to google.com, since its a work laptop the IT department has them locked down. Its always a good idea to have multiple web browsers on your computer. I use Safari, FirFox, and Chrome on my Macs, on my windows computers I use Firefox, Chrome, IE, both in that order.

Ok, now when I click on the "Home" page.... it shows up blank????? I give up.
-
Hello admin,
Whatever "new group" you created for me wiped out my ability to see the "Home" page. As a test, I logged off the site just now and like magic, the Home page shows up just fine. When I logged back on, no home page.
Would really like to get this straightened out, as it's starting to be not so fun to visit this site....
-
What does the new "Home" screen look like? I get the "forum" list page when I open the site and when I click on the "Home" button. I'm using a smart phone only. Just wondering if I'm missing some info? Thanks, Steve

The new system won't let me update my "Serial Number ID Guide". I've got a new serial to go in (17G011543) but despite the fact that I was the author of that guide it seems to think I'm a hacker and blocks me. Done this dozens of times with no problem under the old system. Any ideas?

Do you get a message when trying to update the thread?

Hi, "Admin" man,
Yes, I did get a message. It said it considered such activity to be a possible hacker and therefore blocked the action.
It is possible that the system considers Richard C. to be the thread owner, because when I originally wanted to set the guide up, I emailed the first Word file to Richard and he actually posted it on the site for me. I have subsequently added several entries, and have updated the Serial number tables on numerous occasions without problems, but this is the first time I've tried it on the new site layout.
