Description: To fender or not to fender?  It was thought the original was cast aside right from the crate,along with the fork tube covers,steel # plate,and all the front brake hardware. Turns out they were present early on,but removed after a few races to reduce wieght. I have all the stuff now,but since I never raced the bike with any of it,its a tuff call as weather or not to reinstall the fender. I'm catching some flack over the rear fender too. I have no plans to restore it to original,because the extended swingarm is going back on the bike. Hillclimbing is all its ever done from day 1. There's not a lot to do in the way of re-plating. Most of the things that need it aren't chrome. The exhaust shield is a good example. It is a N.O.S. part,but it's also 40 years old.
