175 Crank seal
« on: October 31, 2009, 11:33:21 AM »
My brother is working on his 175, it had been sitting inside for about 20yrs. It is running now, but not real well. When you cover one carb. with your hand, both cylinders will continue to run instead of flooding the one cylinder that is choked off. We suspect the center crank seal is bad. Is there another easy test for this? Also, if the seal is bad, is the seal available. We know the crank has to be pressed apart.
