Title: New to group. Is there any Group members located in Arkansas ?
Post by: AMSOIL DEALER on September 17, 2012, 03:15:18 PM
Hi, my name is Lance I live in Greenbrier, Arkansas and I just purchased a 1967 Bidgestone 175 twin has the low pipes. When I purchased the Bridgestone the seller told me he has never heard it start because he did not have the key to it. It looks clean inside the fuel tank and the throttle moves smoothly and when kicking on the kick start if feels like it has good compression. It does not have a battery so it is missing a key and battery and that appears to be all. Just trying to see if there is a way to by pass the key ignition just to at least see if the spark plugs are getting fire and do you have to have  the battery to just get it started ? Since I do not know much about this bike or this brand of bike just wondering if there are any members on this forum that live in Arkansas or know of some one who lives in Arkansas who is familiar with the Bridgestone bikes that I could take to and pay them to give me an estimate on what is needed to get it running. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Lance,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on getting your 175. Looking at the "Members Map" it shows 2 members pinned in Arkansas. They each have an email contact link in their member profile.

Not sure how close they are to you, but if they are, you can always send them a private message here on the forum or try their email account.  Good luck...

Mike
