I picked up a BS90m a few weeks ago for $200. It was in a little rougher shape then I thought it would be, but I had driven about an hour with a trailer and didn’t want to go home empty handed. I got the bike home and started digging into it and my replacement parts shopping list started growing and growing. I’m starting to think that selling it off or parting it out might be the only way for me to maintain the little sanity I have left. I don’t see a whole lot of stuff listed on Ebay, even if I look at past sold items I don’t see very much. Where do people buy/sell parts for these bikes? Thanks.
If people are interested here is what it has/is missing:
Have:
Frame - little rust no visible damage maliciously attacked with a can of black spray paint
Tank – some surface rust and was spray painted black – some interior rust but did not appear to be too widely spread
Motor and carb – complete, not seized, seems to shift good missing air tube and boots
Wheels – seem good noticed one missing spoke
Rear Racks – good condition
Headlight – a little tweaked but not dented speedometer and headlight glass cracked
Fork – seems ok one of the uppers is dented but should be easy to repair
Seat pan - foam and cover are gone
Exhaust - Not bad has heat shield and appears complete. Chrome looks good but was also spray painted over
Missing/damaged:
Side covers (both)
Ignition key
Throttle and right brake lever
Handlebars ( there are some but they are damaged)
Kickstarter (damaged)
