Bridgestone 60
« on: September 11, 2013, 09:00:03 PM »
Posting this picture just because the bike was in such nice original condition. Dropped off at my shop for a little minor maintenance. Been buzzing up and down the road with it the past few days on "test rides". Current owner has had it since 1972.

What a sweet looking machine. Although it appears to have a BS90 Mountain muffler and bash plate added.

Hello Ray,

Yes the bash plate was added but I am pretty sure the muffler is original. The 60 did have an upswept muffler as original and it may have been the same as the 90. The sidecover is the short cutoff one that is removed sideways from the frame.

Interesting, anyone know the history of the 60?  Some Bridgestone literature shows 60's with muffler on the left, some on the right.

In one of the service letters they have a part number listing for both left and right upswept muffler for the 60. Looks like the right side was on earlier bikes and left side on later.
