Title: 350 gtr rebuild
Post by: scott on May 28, 2009, 01:07:45 AM
I took apart my 350 gtr motor. split the halves and cleaned out the inside housings and gears. i did not take any of the trans gears out. just the kick shaft to replace the spring and catch piece.i put the halves back together and i am wonering why the kick shaft wants to turn when i turn the crank shaft. it will ratchet sound on way.the other way it will seem to snap with a revolution of the crank. i am thinking that there shouldnt be any involvment when i turn that piston crank up and down. the kick starter should not be interacting when the engine is turning. i need some help on this. anyboby have any expertice. thanks, ??? scott.

Scott  The 350 KS shaft needs to be installed correctly otherwise it will turn all the time and break the spring, if fits in the case
a certain way, just play with it, upon installation and you will "see" it
