After looking at the numbers I've concluded that the First 4500 200's sit atop 175 frames The checkered 200's sit atop 200 frames. My Bike 23B04490 sits atop one of the last 175 framesTA1-35389.The production run of 7,800 tells me the first 4,500 sit atop 175 frames. The remaining The remaining 3,300 which I believe are the checkered BS200 and have TA2 label frames. The early production chrome tanked BS200s Have TA1 stamped engine numbers with BS200 sequenced engine numbers. The early models are BS200 MIISS/RS tagged bikes and have chromed tanks. The non chromed are BS200 MIISS/RS-7 however are still tagged as BS200 MIISS/RS bikes and remaining BS200s are checkered and for the first time 200 labeled identification on side cover. This would indicated that the production run of the BS175 Dual Twin and Hurricane scrambler of 30,900 units. The confusion is that the first 4,500 BS200s sat on 175 frames. If people list their Frame,engine and serial #s I could break down andc provide further information as to when the BS200 went from chromed to two-toned and finally one colored checkered models.
