I'm a newbie here... I picked up an old Bridgestone step-thru model HM/S Homer 50cc last summer and am trying to figure out what year it is. Can't find any answers in the parts manual I found on here. Info on this model seems to be a little scarce. It's got a frame number stamped on the headstock and a serial # plate on it as well. Any help in decoding either of these to figure out the year would be much appreciated! Does anyone know about how many of these were sold in the US?
The bike is mostly complete, but the kick starter shaft is broken off. I was able to make it run by bump starting it though (with a lot of effort since the transmission will evenutally free-wheel, and I still haven't quite figured out how/why that works like it does yet). It's also missing the original seat. Any ball-park guesses on what it might be worth? I don't really have the time or money to split the cases to replace that shaft any time soon so I'm thinking about just selling it as is.
I appreciate any help anyone has to offer!
