Steve
I saw this article in Real Classic Magazine (UK). The current model is very similar to the 70s version. I always did like the style of the Jawa.

Hey Steve and Ray,
Looks like we are not the only ones who still like the classic Bridgestone look. Should be a hit. Maybe some will show up over here.

Thanks.

Steve,
I definitely remember the Jawa with sidecar setup. We had several of them around the Findlay,Oh. area where I grew up and got my Bridgestone start.

Showing my age - I always liked the Jawa Californian 250. Quite a few sold in OZ and they come up regularly on OZ eBay.

Will the UK allow this two smoker to pollute their clear skies?

If somebody lived in an area where they did not have to drive big distances and could cruise at sensible speeds then I guess that bike would be a good thing, it's supposedly got great mpg and fun to drive, here's a link.
http://www.jawamotorcycles.co.uk/retro.html
Oh and I think if Bridgestone still made motorcycles we would be looking at a Plastic bullets like the Yamaha R1, Honda Fireblade and Kawasaki ZX10R, Bridgestone was right up there with the other sports two strokes in it's day, and Bridgestone would probably have evolved like the other manufacturers into fast 4 strokes, not a bad thing.
If you want modern retro it's got to be the Jawa for a two stroke,
or the Royal Enfield for a big single
http://royalenfield.com/continentalgt/the-bike
That Enfield looks sweet.
Colin.

Here's another modern, reasonably priced (£3799, about $5900), 'retro' bike that could just reflect where Bridgestone  might have gone in the mid 70s. Made in China by Shineray, distributed by SIMA, France in Europe under the name 'MASH' and imported by F2 Mtotorcycles here in the UK.  Has a T120 Bonneville look to it, not sure about those pipes though.
I like F2s logo which says 'Unspoilt by progress' , can relate to that  ;D     Brian.

Unspoiled by progress.
I'm so glad I grew up in the 60s & 70s. I did so much stupid stuff and there's no record of it.............Anywhere !!
