Factory painted tanks on BS 90s

Does anyone know if BS produced BS 90s (oil injection) and BS 50s with fully painted tanks instead of paint+chrome? I have seen both 50s and 90s which seemed to have original black paint on their tanks.

I have never seen a 100% factory painted tank on a 50 sport or 90's, but I do have in my parts inventory a tank that is all painted in black.
I do know of guys who out of cost saving, have blasted the old chrome off and painted the tank one color, like the later 100's had.

However: I do know the BS sold bikes in different countries that were somewhat different, so anything is possible!

Are you planning any more trips to the USA?

Many thanks for the info. Below is a link to a black 90 OI.  The 50 Sport I bought some time ago seemed to have original black paint all over it.  The same style of tank is on the 90 below.
Unfortunately I don't think I will be able to make the US this year as we have a wedding in NZ in Oct. (#3 son).  I should ask when are you coming to Oz for a holiday - I'm sure all the BS people here (and many others) would make you most welcome. It's the same distance from Indiana to NSW as NSW to Indiana. It's only a 14 Hr flight from LA to SYD.
