Got it fixed with a few hours of work, it turned out to be the flywheel/rotor was loose! Tightened it down and it still came loose, then again with loctite. Turned out the woodruff key was smashed and flared out the groove. A little filing later it fit fine guess it wasn't letting the rotor fit on the tapered shaft true. Just got it driveable and I love it to death! I kind of have to get a running start to get goin in first, and I know it doesn't have a lot of torque and I'm on my street sprocket.
Is this typical?
