BS 7 Shifting/operation questions
« on: April 18, 2013, 11:46:45 AM »
So I got the tank done and back on, fueled her up and started her up. Runs great, but when I but it in gear it stalls.I was getting the mechanics worked out, I think I am dumping the clutch and that make it stall. Does that sound right on this type of bike? There is also a ticking sound in the engine I am not familiar with, is that a Bridgestone trademark? I know with my old BMW the valves tick and it is just one of its trademarks so that is why I ask this queston. I am going to try to run it up the road tonight to see if I can get a little more fluid with the shifting and operation of this little bike. Tips and tricks welcome!

Thanks

You have to ease out with the clutch lever, I always have to start moving to a slow speed before I can fully take my hand of the clutch lever. Also, you have to get a feel for it and give it a little gas so it doesn't die well letting out the lever. Unless I pin it and release it right away but I don't think that's too good for it.
