Motor mount isolators
« on: May 09, 2016, 11:50:13 AM »
Hi Guys, I was installing the new rubber isolators and the two for the upper back mounts can be pushed in with my fingers. The smaller front ones I had to press in. One lower one I could push in with my fingers and one I had to tap in with a hammer. One back one is loose enough that I can wiggle it. Tried putting the originals back in and they are tight. Anyone had this problem with them? My farmer background says JBweld them they will be fine!
Also concerning the rivets that come with the pit replica seat cover, what do you use to install them without damaging the part that shows? Thanks.............Rod

It's  probable that the bolt-on motor mount carriers in the rear are worn out from use and age. It should be easy enough to source another pair from one of the members and test the theory. JB weld should work in any event , but you can also  put  a row of small dimples around the outer metal bushing shell  with a center punch which will tighten the fit.
