Attached are pics of my attempt at duplication the original fuel cock screen on an NOS fuel cock. I'll get a little neater with the soldering next time.

That's really a pretty good job. Once it is inside the tank, no one ever sees it again, anyway.

Nice job, was a filter fitted to both tubes or just the reserve. Sure I've seen taps with both arrangements. Karl, but we know it's there ;D Brian

Originally they only had the one screen on the shorter reserve tube. I've noticed more & more people adding one to the main pick-up tube as well. Seems like a wise thing to do. 8)

Davis, there never were 2 screens on the 350 petcocks, only the shorter "reserve" tube had one. Like I said earlier, some individuals are putting one on the main tube out of an abundance of caution.
The only other brass filter screens used on the 350's were the ones on the GTR/GTO oil tank filters

Somewhere in Ziggy's last 350 build he posted a picture of his refurbished petcock with two filters on it.

It just makes sense if you are refurbishing a petcock to put screens on both inlets. If there is debris in the tank from wherever (gas station tanks close to the bottom, a gas can with some sediment from gas sitting for a while...you have your own experiences). The stuff can become mobile in the tank while riding due to vibration and road irregularities. The second screen will avoid the possibility of that crud getting into the carbs and causing needles valves to stick or other bad outcomes. Easy enough to do.
Comment: My experience is that fiddling with the carbs on a 350 is a way of life. Maybe its because of the elevation and temperature swings in my desert home, but if you are going to have them apart alot (like me). Then maybe the effect from crud accumulation is negligible.

Found this one Ebay item number 321946711140 he will make them to fit 5mm diameter tubing, ordered a couple will let you all know how I get on
