Yesterday as an excuse to get my wife out of the house we went to an independent bike shop. First objective was to look at a used Suzuki SV1000.
After sitting on it I didn't quite like the lean forward riding position but would consider giving it a test ride in the future (warm weather). And that was with aftermarket handle bars that had more rise than stock.
He also has a beautiful 1988 Katana 1100 with low miles.
And then before getting into the car to leave he had pointed out a newly acquired trade-in of a 2008 Suzuki B-King. Holy crap! What a specification sheet that thing has. And it was more upright than the SV1000 and probably not far from how the Katana felt. A test ride on it could be in the future when the weather is warmer, and I'd probably have to try the "de-tuned" computer setting for power output for starters.
A little trivial message board activity for Sunday.....
I do have the '75 Yamaha XS500 in my garage as a parts bike to the GTR and the shop owner already sold my MB5 on ebay for a little profit. Good for him. I didn't have to become an ebay seller, try to coordinate showings for those who never show, or make arrangements for shipping.
