Hi Steve.

I have a list of things on the 175 Racer.

1. oil is leaking past the seal or oring in the ignition housing. I had just installed a new seal prior to the last time I raced it and it still leaks.

2. When the pipes were made the stingers were too short. Upon inspection they are not only too short but only 18mm in diameter and need to be 22mm in diameter.

3. The heads have never been properly setup. I have cc'd various ones along with some Tabloc heads I have but never had some done with correct squish for the pistons I run

4. I've run the disc's with 10 deg cut off opening and closing time but don't remember what I have in the bike at the moment as I found a set of those discs in my race box. I need to go thru the motor and time the discs in relation to the transfer and exhaust timing

Plus I also have a garage full of projects just waiting,

2 Lambretta SX 200's need complete restoration
Suzuki GT 185 maybe a racer?
75 RD200 maybe a racer?
Moto Guzzi Cardilino 75cc needs rebuild

Not to mention a kitchen and bath remodel

My 175 DT's paint and chrome, then it will at least look respectable. The engine... well, all the parts are there but who knows what kind of work it'll need.

Hi Steve (Reed),
Funny that you ask the question when I'm going to call you to see what you can do for me  ;D
I have what used to be a great running GTR engine that needs a tear down.
Maybe your phone will ring later today......

- Bridgestone RS200
  -- replace crank
  -- replace tires
  -- replace shocks
  -- repaint all silver parts
  -- ride

(only after the above is complete... 86 Kawa GPZ 900 A3 and an 80s Husky thumper)
  -- locate good candidate
  -- rebuild
  -- ride

This one may actually have loose ties to Bridgestone.

Good eye there coxy. Possibly a bit more plentiful in your part of the world? VERY few of them here.

Here is another.

It has really nice paint?

This is the only one I have seen. I beemer look alike was the Marusho which was made by the same company but a few years later.

As the history goes some of the engineers and designers at Lilac went to Bridgestone after Lilac went out of business.

I have been in contact with Ralph, the guy who owns the Marusho-Lilac site. The model I have is a MF-39.

Man, that is a sweet paint job!  Keep it!  Definately won't see any others like that!

There was an old BS175DT in the barn when I was growing up that my Dad bought at an auction...it never ran.  But I clearly remember the paint job....blue metallic tank with a mountain lake scene painted on the sides!..........1970 something!

Awesome!
