ok guys i am very new to the bridgestone arena, and i just got my dt175 2 days ago.Now i have been doing parts hunting like crazy today on ebay and anywhere i can find sources, so what i have run across and please someone in the know can tell me if my observations were correct......does 175 parts and 350 parts interchange and vise versa?? i have seen many parts between the two bikes that look identicle, so help me because if this is true then that will cut most of my work down locating wise.....and fyi...i found a bs 100 up at a bike bone yard in montana if anybody is interested  for sale or parts either way     www.bikeboneyard.com and also want to thank the guys that took the time to respond to my mail  greatly appreciated , and doe anybody have any pics of a fully resto'd dt 175 that i can drool over  please let me know     thanks     scott

There are some interchangeable parts between the 175/200 and the 350, but not really very many.  Some things like levers, footpeg rubbers and some brake parts are, but nearly everything else isn't.  You can look through the 350 parts catalog (downloadable from this site).  Any parts that end in -90xx are 350 specific (most of them).  Parts with -80xx suffixes are 175/200, -50xx are 90/100, -32xx are smaller bikes.

Hey paul,

I just wanted to say nice bike! I just got a 1971 Bridgestone 200 mach 11/rs and I was wondering where did you find most of your parts. I'm looking into restoring my bike. Any recommendations???

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

Thanks!  It was my first complete rebuild and quite a learning process!  Since then I've done a '72 Triumph Tiger which didn't need very much work and am now rebuilding the engine on a '66 Mustang.

I got quite a few of the parts from Richard, the provider of this site.  Also got some stuff from Ebay and a gentleman named Larry Young in upstate New York.  Where I really lucked out was that I also had a 175 parts bike and it seemed like what was bad on my good bike was usable from the parts bike!

I had my pipes rechromed by Dan's Polishing in Adamsville, TN and the rims by Shelbyville Plating in Shelbyville, IN.

Good luck on your 200!

Paul
