Title: What chain size for a Bridgestone 90? Please
Post by: Jeff McBrayer on July 27, 2016, 08:41:17 AM
Anyone know what modern size of chain that a regular BS 90 takes, it is #40, 420, 428 or what for sure? Thank you.

Hi Jeff
The 90/100s take a 428 chain and the 50/60s take a 420 chain.
Cheers

Looking for the same info for a Bridgstone 100 TMX. How many links too?

If its 428 how many links of 428?

Answered my own question by counting my TMX 100 Chain.

108 Total
100 Main Chain
2 Maser Links - Needed for the "The dual sprocket system (47T and 34T respectively) with its different size chains.
4 Link extension For change of rear sprocket.

However as the Manual for the 100 says the extension is "Chain of 8 links". And the four link and spare master link only make 6 so maybe someone cut out a link pair at one time from my bike?

To count links I counted rollers.
