Title: My 350 GTR in Hollywood Movie
Post by: Stoneman on October 24, 2022, 11:54:16 AM
Just thought I’d share. A movie called “Bike Riders” is being filmed here in Cincinnati. The movie is loosely based on a 1968 book by Danny Lynn’s about a motorcycle club turned gang set in the 1950’s and 1960’s. The movie crew advertised for bike riding extras, especially with older bikes. My son, who is in his early 40’s tried out riding my/our 67 BS 350 GTR and was cast as a regularly appearing extra. Mostly, he rides in group shots with a dozen or so extras, a few bike stunt riders and the movie “stars”. He’s having great fun. The 350 is the only Japanese bike in the movie, most of the others are British and a few Harleys. So, looks like our rare Bridgestone’s will be getting some “silver screen” attention.

Cool, any "Star" names we'd recognize?

Austin Butler plays the lead. You may know him from a recent HBO movie. He played a young Elvis with Tom Hanks as manager Col Tom Parker. Tom Hardy is the other big name. He’s played tough guys in a bunch of movies, he was a combat RAF pilot in the movie Dunkirk, released a couple years ago.

Guess he gets his "15 minutes (more or less!) of fame"! Cool!
