Sealing the crank case halves?

I'm almost ready to seal the crank case halves on bike number 2. I have the correct sealant and read the service letter saying that you put it on both sides, but do you also put it in the bearing and seal journals or just on the mating surfaces please?

         You don't need any sealant on the bearing journals, it serves no purpose. You could put a thin smear on all three of the seals on the left side of the gear box, input shaft, output shaft and kickstart shaft to be on the safe side. Also on the crank centre 'o' ring. Make sure the kickstart ratchet is latched on its stopper plate, right side of case, before bolting up. Might need a rubber band to hold it in place.
