Petrol Taps
« on: December 01, 2011, 04:56:58 PM »
I wonder if someone can enlighten me on the differences between the GTO and GTR petrol tap as they have different part nos. The reason I ask is because the tap fitted to my GTO has a lever that points downwards when in the 'on' position. This doesn't work because the lever hits the exhaust, so I'm wondering if this is actually a GTR tap? If the 'on' position was in the vertical, everything would be fine...so is this the difference?

If so, I'm in desperate need of a GTO tap please, if anyone can help.

Thanks,
Steve

You're a good 'un...thanks Steve!
So, was I right with the difference then? i.e. the 'on' position for the GTO tap lever is up and the GTR is down?

Cheers

Yhe GTO tap does indeed work opposite to the GTR, the lever goes up not down.       john

From memory i seem to think you only need the faceplate with the ON  OFF RES on it.      John

Does anybody have comparison photos of the 2 different taps that they could post?
