Modern regulator/rectifier mounting
« on: January 30, 2020, 09:39:22 AM »
I've purchased a solid-state reg/rect and am thinking of mounting it to the bracket under the tank that was the original mounting point for the OEM regulator. However, I'm a bit concerned about heat build-up, but there seems to be more than enough room in the tank tunnel for cooling airflow to the reg/rect. How hot do these modern reg/rect get? Not concerned about over-heating the fuel tank, as I don't think they get that hot! Has anyone else used this as a mounting point?
