BEWARE! Atlantic Coast Plating, Athens TN
« on: January 29, 2021, 11:03:24 AM »
I just received a phone call from a gentleman that purchased the above-named chrome plater's business.  They have closed the doors.  The bad news for me is that they have a collection of my parts along with a $767.00 deposit that is most likely gone.  The fellow has my parts and is shipping them back to me COD.  I hope they get here...most of them are irreplaceable.

My understanding is that the gentleman I spoke to made an "asset purchase" of the building and its equipment.  The woman he purchased it from retains all responsibility for financial assets and liabilities.  I called her phone, and it just goes to voice mail but her mailbox is full.

I have recommended this business to others here and have had some incredibly nice work done by them in the past.  Assuming I get my parts back, if anyone has any recommendations on a reliable and good chromer, please let me know.  Thanks.

GEEZ- sorry to learn of this -

I have used Atlas Chrome in Texas for many years. They've done many chrome projects for me including several award winning custom cars, show bikes, and several Bridgestone/Rockford bikes. NEVER had an issue with these guys. Their prices are fair, turn time is general very good, their work is excellent and shipping and packaging is always done right.

If you call - ask for Alex the owner

Best of luck
Kevin

Chibi62,

Thanks for the recommendation.  You are the second one to suggest trying Atlas.  I'll give them a call.

My parts were mailed back to me via UPS COD and were scheduled for delivery yesterday.  The weather here shut all deliveries down and probably won't make it today either.

Thanks again.
