Going Vintage for a change
« on: August 07, 2014, 09:38:56 PM »
My name is Eric and just traded my DRZ250 for a Bridgestone DT175. Haven't decoded the VIN yet but was told this is a 1967 and it in ok condition. Im not looking to restore it and going with more of a Café Racer style for this little bike. I figure it would be awesome to ride around Barber Motorsports Park during the Vintage weekend and use it as a pit bike during my trackdays.

Here's how it currently sits in my garage

And here's the look that I hope to achieve in the end

I am in need of a few small parts like the carb boots but instead of using the stock airbox I plan on running small pod filters on each side. I may upgrade the factory headlight bucket to accept a HID unit or LED and will be using a small LED for the taillight.

The café racer is just a picture I found via Google. I do have a local fab shop willing to build a couple chambers out of stainless for this 175 when I am ready
