New Member with questions about 1965 BS90
« on: June 19, 2011, 11:51:11 PM »
Hello All!

I found this forum while doing some research about a 1965 BS 90 that my Dad's aunt is wanting to sell.  Dad would really like to buy it because he can remember it when he was a kid.  We are just trying to find out what a fair price would be.  We have not seen what condition it is in at this point but we are told hat it is complete, "should" run, gas tank is a little rusty, and it probably could use tires.

It is a 1965 BS90 with 2,705 miles.  They have owned it since 1968, and it does have a title.

That really all I know at this point, if anybody could get me a high/low range for the price of this bike that would be great.  We just would like to make a far offer.

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

In the Forum section go to "Bridgestones found on the Web" and you'll find plenty of recent ad's for BS 90's that will give you a pretty good idea of what sellers are asking for their bikes. You'll need to get pics of the Aunts bike though, to get a better idea of how it matches up to the bikes in the ad's.

Here's a link to that section...       http://bridgestonemotorcycleparts.com/index.php?board=36.0

Hard to give a price without pictures.  Location is also important.  The condition of the chrome is a really big factor. Re-chroming will cost $$$$.  Rust in the tank is not a big deal usually. Use Evaporust.

Let's guess that it will run with some cleaning up.  Probably needs tires to be on the safe side.  How is the seat. ect, ect.  The title is a plus.

I have recently seen non-running 90's for sale from $200(rough) to $600(nice).  Your going to have to look it over and see what it needs mechanically and cosmetically.  $$$ add up quick to restore.

Don't forget about the family discount!
