Title: BS MK II SS
Post by: bancroft643 on October 20, 2023, 10:47:04 AM
Thanks for the add. My brother and I recently rescued a 1969 Bridgestone 200 Mk II SS (23MO1534). The bike is complete for the most part and low mileage (3477), but condition is poor (see attached pics). We'll need the usual rubber parts, steering dampener knob and right rear foot peg eventually. This is supposed to be his winter project. Any suggestions on a battery to fit the 200 tray? Back in the day I did own Bridgestone motorcycles (175 hurricane scrambler and 350 GTR). Graduated up to bigger bikes in 1969 (Mach 1) and Bridgestone soon ceased production. Thanks and we'll make a list of our needs and contact Rick. Ed and Mike Kelly (Alma, MI)

Not sure how to imbed images????

Hi Rick, Ed & Mike, Welcome to the group and that's a nice looking 200 SS you picked up. Check this thread out for battery info and contact Richard when you have your list of parts needed. Good Luck and have fun!

I've been sending parts requests to Richard since November 2022 using email, then in desperation by Registered Mail.  The last few emails came back as having been opened, but no reply.  The Registered Mail letter was signed for at the correct address - no response.  Has he gone out of business, or is not well, or wants to stick to US only sales?
I would really like to know.  Strangely, I ordered some parts from 6X6parts a while ago which came from Richard, complete with his invoice and contact details.
Any ideas?
Mike

Mike

Perhaps send me an inquiry to the contact system on 6x6parts, just an idea, instead of this forum

I do not use this forum for parts sales, as I do not want to turn this site into a parts sales format

Richard, I've been trying for over 12 months to do business with you, and despite my emails being opened at your end, and my registered post being signed for on delivery at your address, I still have no idea if you have any of the parts I have needed for my restoration.  This is the only avenue for over a year now which at least gets me a reply.
I want as much as possible to use genuine parts for my 200, which I understood you had some stock of, but If you don't have any parts, please let me know.

Regards, Mike.
