Chrome Plater Shout-Out
« on: June 11, 2020, 11:24:39 AM »
Just want to give a BIG thumbs up to "S&H Chrome Plating" in Madison, TN for doing an outstanding job of plating several of my GTR parts, including the chain guard, kick-start lever, and several small bits. Some of the best plating I've seen to date; deep and lusterous. Reasonably priced, as well. They do alot of plating for classic car buffs, a very discerning crowd. I'd post pictures, but they wouldn't do the parts justice! Web site:

Good to know Ken. Just curious on rough cost to plate your items.

Dan:  $217 including return shipping. The items they plated were:

GTR chain guard, one front fender brace, kick start lever and kick start lever pivot, and the rear brake arm (short one that mounts to the brake plate).

I thought the price was very reasonble for these parts. Turn-around time was a bit long (about 10 weeks), but that is because they were getting into the "show-car' season, and they have a very good reputation in that world, which creates alot of jobs for them.Worth the wait!

I would call that way more than reasonable. Thanks for the details. This provides me with some motivation.
