Hi Coxy,
I have never used anything but round mirrors on my Bridgestones from the day one.
Thanks Mike

In 1971, my GTO came with 1 round mirror when we brought it home from the dealer. Never gave much thought to it and just assumed it was a "dealer add-on". Maybe other members that purchased Bridgestones back in the day can let us know if any of theirs had rectangle mirrors.
Round or rectangle is probably just a personal choice. The only possible benefit I can see between the two would be if the rectangle had more surface area, it would allow more coverage of what might be sneaking up behind you! ;D

yep i think that i will opt for the round ones but i might buy both seeing they are cheap and there seems to be excess surplus for the right mirror which is the side i need here and i also need a mirror for the 175

The oroginal fctory fit was roun mirrors on the 175/200/350 and the late model 100TMX. The 50s, 60s 90s , 100Sport, 100GP 100Trail and erly 100TMX all used rectangular mirrors. The deciding factor was handlebar diameter - rectngular mirriors for 19mm bars, round mirrors fit 22mm bars.
The round mirrors are larger in area and come with longer stems.
Hope that helps,
Graham

I believe there are plenty of new round mirrors around, Richard has some and a couple years ago CPC had hundreds. The mirrors are not side specific.
