Clutch question.

Which direction does the clutch hub and basket nuts come off? Thanks.

Hi poppa, I am sure Reed or another experienced member will set the record straight , but when reading the repair manual in the clutch section/or engine section as well , there is no mention of a LEFT HAND thread for the " clutch set plate bolts " , "clutch hub nut ",or " ring nut ". the book makes it clear any time when attention to removing the " drive pinion gear nut " LEFT HAND THREAD , so I would say the hardware for the clutch is right hand thread , but lets wait and hear from the GURU`s

If its the 40mm nut its right hand!

So I guess both the 40mm clutch housing ring nut and the 16mm clutch hub nut come off counterclockwise. Is this correct?
