Title: GTR Paint
Post by: Kenneth Pagel on March 10, 2020, 12:18:03 PM
Just got a batch of paint from RS Bike Paint Ltd (England) for my '67 GTR. It's called "Flamboyant Red Candy" and is a two-stage kit, not including the clear top coat. I'll now be searching for a reasonably-priced local painter, and hopefully will have the parts done in a few weeks, and will post photos.

Have a small sample done to confirm that your happy with the colour as the more coats you put on the darker it gets make sure you get it right first time
l've used there paint and it's spot on but make sure it's done correctly it's very important
Good luck

Even with the correct paint color be sure the painter knows what the final product is
supposed to look like. It is easy to end up with a deviation in the color.

Good luck.

Thanks for the tips! I have printed out a photo of the 3 parts  to be painted (fuel and oil tank, toolbox cover) from this site, and will use that as a guide for the painter.
