I had some fun with it and customized some bits...
I had a little helper today too (my son).
I'm almost done with it.
If anybody happens to know the size of the tank emblem screws and what I can use to secure the frame VIN plate to the frame (under your right butt cheek), let me know.

You need m3 x 6mm screws for the tank badge and No 00 (1.9mm) x 8mm u-drive hammer rivets like these:

It's alive!!! Still needs a bit of a carb tune and lots of other things to button it up... but the fact that it turns over and fires up is amazing.
The bad - I had a guy help me rebuild the engine and he ripped the gasket for the gearbox to the case... so it is leaking 10-30 oil. Taking everything apart to replace that gasket is going to be a BITCH. Not happy about that.
Neutral light doesn't seem to work. I have to adjust the brakes, add the exhaust shields, etc...
BTW, the guy kicking the bike in the video is Neil Zlozower. Famous 70's, 80's & 90's rock and roll photographer.

Looks really nice. I like the custom paint job and seat. You will have a lot of fun zipping around on that bike.

I'm super bummed about the leak. Taking that plate off is a total pain. The one thing that stinks about these bikes is that everything isn't easily accessible like my BMWs. grrr...

Is it the gasket for the clutch cover ? I had to take that one off several times AFTER my final assembly. My clutch was stuck so it had to come off so I could free up the clutch disks then I put it back together and forgot to put the 6x10 clutch dowel so disassembly once again. I feel your pain.

Yep, that's the one. The clutch doesn't feel correct either... so lots of little tunings to do before I get it on the road.

On the bright side, you'll be getting really good at tearing the cover and the clutch down, so future repairs will be cake! I guess this is one of the advantages of the 350's dry clutch. Not gloating, just observing. Good luck getting 'er ready to go! It'll be worth it. ;D

I have another thread going about my current woes.
The kicker doesn't return... i need to drain the tranny oil and pop the cover off to find the issue. Hopefully it isn't in the case.
The oil pump needs to be gone through. It was a NOS but I didn't install it. My engine builder did. It leaks like crazy. I need to sort through all that, and find out why one spark plug is oily, and the other is great.
But on the good plug side, lots of oil comes out the exhaust pipe...
I have the documentation for setting up the oil pump. I need to read through it, and then maybe take the bike for a nice long break in ride.
I am also realizing that the generator is not putting more then 12.5v back to the battery when it is running. I am using a radio shack rectifier and supposedly the engine rebuilder rebuilt the generator but I don't have the most confidence in his rebuild due to these issues.
I have another bike on the lift that I hope to finish within the month. As soon as it runs, I'm putting the Bridgestone back up on the lift for some analysis...
